Free Education and Paradigm Shift

This article is an evolution of communication and workshop that I had the pleasure of sharing in the Humanities in Transition congress held in Barcelona between October 23 and 26, 2018 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Milà i Fontanals Institution - CSIC (Superior Council of Scientific Investigations). In it I argue that free education means a change of paradigm that goes far beyond the pedagogical scope and that can not be assimilated by the current model, at least in the initial levels (2-6 years). The apparent contradiction is that it is a movement that was born within the system and does not have an antisystem discourse, although it is deeply opposed to the principles that sustain it.
