The dissolution of Marxism after May 68, and the subsequent genesis of post-modernism from 1981 are analyzed as a result of the crisis and then came in the way of conceiving the basic pillars of modern-Western thought, as had Toynbee predicted in 1922, nearly 100 years ago.
