About the Journal
ABOUT THE JOURNAL
ASTROLABIO is an open-access semi-annual journal edited by the Faculty of Philosophy of the Universitat de Barcelona. Its main aim is the diffusion of philosophical and humanistic international thought, paying special attention to the conceptual and historical determinants of the present, culture, politics and subjectivity.
Our journal wills to offer novel and quality works to the community of academics interested in Social Sciences and Humanities Studies, aiming to cover the vast diversity of topics that these disciplines can contain.
Astrolabio accepts papers from all around the world, in several languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Catalan), expecting them to be original works and subjecting them to a rigorous process of selection. Thus the journal aims to connect intellectuals from different cultures and disciplines who are interested in the study of the present and open to the redefinition of the limits within the academia and even beyond, so that every citizen interested in the main current problems of society may be a potential reader.
All the papers published by the journal have been revised by at least two external specialized evaluators. The evaluation is done by the ‘double blind’ procedure, which guarantees the quality and impartiality of the chosen articles.
Furthermore, all the papers have been and will be published under a Creative Commons License. Thus they may be freely shared as long as authorship, first publication in Astrolabio and licence conditions are acknowledged.
