Nuevos espacios de comunicación, relación y activismo en la era digital: la Red como oportunidad para el feminismo

Internet is considered a new space for connectivity which fosters new more communicative
channels for social movements such as feminism or ecology. Given the fact that feminism
praxis online has experienced a significant growth, the purpose of this article is to offer the
results of a wider research carried out to survey the most important web portals dedicated to
feminist praxis online in Spain. The article also intends to discuss the theory standpoint that
sets the basis of Cyberfeminism theory in Spain. Therefore the article covers and analyzes
how feminism theory finds a grounded space for praxis online taking into account the very
changing nature of the concept of Cyberfeminism as well as its impact on feminist praxis.
