It is undeniable political recognition and economic research has social and human sciences in countries where scientific knowledge and its transfer have built the basis of its development and its impact is first class in the lives of its citizens. In the Federal Republic of Germany, with a long tradition in scientific research, there are institutions which international projection and results support the social acceptance of the investigators and their disciplines. The Leibniz Gemeinschaft is a network of non-university research institutions covering almost all the sciences it belongs to the Leibniz Institut für Länderkunde, dedicated to research, promotion and popularization of Geography. Part of the archives of the Leibniz Gemeinschaft as well as from other institutes and centers of this scientific community linked to the social sciences and territory, are available online.
