In the Catalan contemporary philosophy Francesc Xavier Llorens i Barba (1820-1872) has been an essential autor. In the occasion of the bicentennial of his birth and the recent edition of his course on the History of Philosophy at Barcelona’s University in the school year 1855-1856, in this paper we make an approach to the way like his legacy has been interpreted and read from different perspectives by Josep Torras i Bages, Francesc Pujols, Jaume Serra Hunter and Joan Crexells, among others. We also make known his significance in Catalan academic philosophy in the 19th and 20th century.
