The Cap de Creus Natural Park (PNCC) is an area located in the middle of the Mediterranean basin, so it is located in a biodiversity hotspot, and therefore in an area with a large number of endemics and unique species, but also with a large number of threats to the conservation of this biodiversity.

This work presents a proposed catalog of protected and threatened species present in the PNCC. Following the search for existing information on unique species of the PNCC, 188 taxa have been included: 100 in the current proposed catalog and 88 in the annex of the threatened catalog of fauna and flora of the PNCC. Of these 100 proposed taxa, the most represented taxonomic groups are vascular plants (20 taxa), birds and arthropods in second place (both with 14 taxa each) and mammals in third place (13 taxa). 20% are taxa from marine environments and 80% from terrestrial environments. Of the total species detected, there are 5 endemics of PNCC: one vascular plant and four cave arthropods.

The work was carried out in 2017 so that it is a work that must be updated in order to improve through new technical reports or legal documents about the unique species of the PNCC.
