In 1938, Punta Milà’s coastal battery was commissioned by the republican forces in order to effectively defend the bay of Roses. During the Post-war period, in 1942, the same emplacement was considered vital to protect the access to the Bay of Roses. Besides, as documents prove, the reuse of the existing previous constructions was considered seriously. Comparing this documental evidence will be useful to better understand the constructive sequence of the battery, which is as interesting as unknown.
