The implantation of new technologies in television has supposed the greater use of audiovisual documentary information thanks to a remarkable increase in the accessibility of archived content. But the implantation of video servers and the digitalization of archives have caused, at the same time, an increase in the work and responsibility of professionals or documentalists. Documentary logic is also changing as a result of the appearance of «documentary contents» and «files» that move old documents and registers. These changes are important, although it seems that this technological revolution does not ultimately solve the problem of the audio-visual legacy that will be inherited in future times…
