"Instruere in litteris, servire et docere ufflcium". Contractes de treball, contractes d'aprenentatge i instrucció de lletra, gramàtica i arts liberals en la Barcelona del segle XV

We show by means of the notarial documentation of the century XV how the boys of Barcelona of this century could be contracted to exercise a métier (domestic service, farmer, trade and others). Also they could be contracted to learn a métier (pharmacist, silversmith, barber, surgeon, bookseller and others) with the condition that the teacher or another person should teach them to read and to write and also grammar and liberal arts.
