Alguns exemples de manipulacions falsificades en documents altmedievals catalans

The catalan archives keep a great number of documents related to early medieval centuries; unfortunately, a lot of them are not original documents; so, they can have suffered several kinds of forgery. The aim of this study is to examine two documents of which we have different versions. The first document is composed of two parchments related to the estate of the monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallès in Cervelló: the comparison between them shows how various little interpolations allowed the monastery to enlarge its ownership. The second document, of which we have three copies, shows also how the different versions transform a simple donation of the site of Puigperdiguers on a feudal estate, includint the servitude of the resident peasants.
