El paper de la llana menorquina segons la documentació datiniana: mecanismes i estratègies comercials

This work has been developed from the analysis of 305 commercial letters of the Datini enterprise, from their local office in Menorca, issued to their Mallorca office, between 1385 and 1411. The treated topics quote about the oscillations of the mail, the main economical operators of the island, the import-export movements, the role played by Bernat Portal and so by other characters belonging to the urban elite of Ciutadella, the mechanisms and strategies to achieve the wool and the impositions of the peasants. It is also considered the annual cycle of the product, the cattle acquisition systems and the gradual operative of loans or credits introduced in this economic framework.
