Saprolignicole bryophytes from Val d’Aran (Central Pyrenees)

23 species of saprolignicolous bryophytes on rotten stumps of European silver firs and beeches have been identified from the Aran valley. We give some comments on the species richness of this valley, compared with other Catalan similar areas.
