A set of taxonomical and chorological notes on some species and hybrids of the genus Ophrys (Orchidaceae) from Catalonia and the Valentian Country (Spain), occasionally including comments on its conservation and pollination, are offered. The presence of O. ficalhoana J.A. Guim. in two localities of València and one of Castelló, and of O. castellana Devillers-Tersch. & Devillers in a new locality of València, are confirmed and commented, as well as the ocurrence, at least in the Barcelona, Castelló and (from an herbarium sheet) Cuenca provinces, of O. santonica J.M. Mathé & F. Melki, which has not been cited before as from the Iberian peninsula. In two other notes some data on O. subinsectifera pollination in a locality from Catalonia and new data on the flowering phenology of O. arnoldii are presented. Three new Ophrys hybrids (O. apifera × O. ficalhoana from València province, O. arnoldii × O. sphegodes from Castelló province, and the hybrid swarm O. catalaunica × O. incubacea from Tarragona province) are discussed and formally described as new nothospecies, O. ×turiana J.E. Arnold, O. ×vistabellae J.E. Arnold and O. × montisciana J.E. Arnold, respectively. Moreover, O. scolopax × O. speculum, previously known only as an artificial hybrid, has been found as a natural hybrid in the province of Lleida. Finally, five more hybrids are cited as new ones for Catalonia or Valentian Country (O. ficalhoana × O. scolopax, O. incubacea × O. scolopax, O. lupercalis × O. tenthredinifera, O. passionis × O. scolopax, and O. scolopax × O. tenthredinifera), and new localities and comments of two others (O. apifera × O. scolopax and O. catalaunica × O. insectifera) are offered.
