Main Article Content
This article analyses the spaces of the book in the palatial context of Castile in the 15th and 16th centuries, focusing its attention on the case of the Mendoza lineage. This was one of the most important political, cultural and artistic family of that age. The study uses as its main source an inventory of the duke del Infantado dated in 1575, in which, in addition to listing the volumes of the library, some data is provided that allows a hypothetical reconstruction of one of these book spaces.
