La metáfora multimodal y la representación de la enfermedad: estudio semiótico del VIH en Píldoras azules, de Frederik Peeters

Este estudio analiza la metáfora multimodal en Píldoras azules (2001), de Frederik Peeters. La novela gráfica, de carácter memorístico, narra la relación del autor con su pareja y el hijo de esta, ambos convivientes con el VIH. A partir de los planteamientos de Charles Forceville, se examinan tres metáforas vinculadas a la ansiedad, la culpa y el miedo al contagio. Se demuestra cómo texto e imagen interactúan para representar emociones asociadas al virus. El análisis revela una evolución en la percepción del VIH: de condena y estigma a condición crónica. La edición ampliada de 2013 refuerza esta transición al incorporar una mirada más despreocupada, acorde con el paradigma «post-sida». Así, la obra contribuye a una pedagogía afectiva del VIH en el contexto europeo contemporáneo.
