Drug-trafficking fictions have proliferated in Galicia In the last decade. When critically analysing recent Galician narcofictions, a series of related elements emerge besides the thematic dimension: the presence of degenerative diseases as metaphors for the social, the experience of trauma, and the obsession with individual and collective memory. This work analyses these elements through three fictions: the film Quien a hierro mata (2019), directed by Paco Plaza, the testimonial fiction Operación Bucéfalo (2018) by Juan Cal, and the novel Golpes de Luz (2021) by Ledicia Costas.
