For a long time classical music and the mass media were supposed to be incompatible. Classical music was a content that did not fit into the media container. Nowadays, however, classical music permeates a variety of mass-communication products, but not yet as the intense focus of attention and the exclusive experience that it used to be. Today classical music is associated with other contents in combination. Classical music is of course programmed (as a flow on radio or TV), published (as a phonograph record, whatever the technical support) and uploaded to and downloaded from the Internet, but very often as a partner in a joint venture with cinema, advertising, television, computer graphics and animation.
