Estudio de las chinches de los cereales (Insecta, Heteroptera) en los trigos españoles. Campañas 1999-2000

Study of wheat bugs (Insecta, Heteroptera) found in spanish wheats. Campaigns 1999-2000. Wheat bug specimens studied came from the samples of the Annual Inquiry of the Quality of Spanish wheat, managed by the Spanish Cerealist Technicians Association. Samples were taken in Andalusia, Aragón, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Extremadura, La Rioja, Navarra and Bask Country. Both soft and durum wheat were considered. Species collected in 1999 and 2000 were Aelia acuminata (Linnaeus, 1758), A. germari Küster, 1852, A. rostrata Boheman, 1852, Euygaster austriaca (Schrank, 1778), E.maura (Linnaeus, 1758) and E.testudinaria (Geoffroy, 1785). Information on the most abundant species concerning their distribution in different geographic areas and their incidence in different wheat varieties was worked out.
