This paper analyses the faunal remains from the SU 3006 at Santa Margarida’s church, located 30 km south of Barcelona. The sampling is dated to the VIIIth century AD and it is mainly composed of macromammals, birds and shells. The evaluation of the number of specimens, coupled with the analysis of the skeletal representation and the study of human marks, enabled us to determine the faunal spectrum of the site. Furthermore, it has been possible to establish the killing patterns of domestic herds. The results provide evidence regarding the meat consumption by the low clergy in Late Antiquity.
