2012 is the year of tourist taxes at Catalonia. The debate around tourist taxes is not new but currently it does not unchain the same debate as does in past times. In spite of the new income, the public sector administrators are still arguing about the balance between budgets and the destinations quality taking into account the increasing offer market and the competitiviness.
