Josep M. Pujol and the composition of text

The two articles by Josep M. Pujol in Llengua i Ús (2001 and 2002) constitute the perfect springboard from which to remember and reassess the work of the Professor, a teacher for anyone interested in the printed word. We review his lessons and complement them, when this is necessary and we are able to do so. Additionally, we take advantage of the attention being placed in typographic expression to present it as the foundation stone of the building which is text composition. We conclude the paper by speaking of the paragraph as a typographical unit and mentioning the tasks involved in composing text, based on the use of currently available software.
