Osservazioni storiche e topografiche sulla località microasiatica di Driussa

The aim of this paper is to reconsider the literary sources and the archaeological evidences concerning Dryussa, an ancient site of Ionia by Mount Mykale. Special attention will be paid to the topographical aspects, trying to determine, if possible, the exact location of the site. Furthermore, the hypothesis concerning the existence of the worship of Zeus in Dryussa will be considered, supported by the comparison with the cases of both Skotitas in Arcadia and Skotoussa in Pelasgiotis.
