Main Article Content

Irene García Rovira
The present paper attempts to face up to the study of standing stones, an important element of the Neolithic landscape but one of the most neglected in megalithic studies. In contrast to other papers, this article stresses a small-scale analysis, concentrating on Brittany, the region of major concentration of menhirs in the megalithic area and interesting since recent studies have postulated a possible Mesolithic origin of its megaliths.
