Redes sociales y praxis ciberfeminista: Nuevas alianzas en Internet

Main Article Content

Women have always woven networks from ancient times to the present. From forgotten
mythical figures to primative matriarchies to modern internauts. This paper underlines
the capacity of women -attributed long ago- to build useful networks which sustain social
structure, not only materially by simbolically. as well. Despite the implied patriachy; women
«divided and overcame» and never ceased to weave. Women continue to do so through
various associations and social networks. As a rejection to mens control of virtual space,
cyberfeminists have woven and unwoven identities and old topics for over decades, with
the intention of making cyberspace a place for women to live.
