Escribir las horas muertas: imaginación ociosa y tiempo en la poética de la incorrección de Anne Carson

Este artículo analiza el libro de poesía Hombres en sus horas libres (2000) de Anne Carson con el fin de discutir cómo se deconstruye el tiempo histórico mediante lo que llamo aquí imaginación inoperosa. Haciendo converger la noción de imaginación entendida como forma de atención poética en los términos de Alford con la filosofía de la inoperosidad de Agamben, esta categoría designa un ejercicio de pensamiento crítico que se efectúa a través de una práctica poética. Esto se lleva a cabo en dicha obra por medio de la poética de lo incorrecto de Carson, la cual engloba una serie de procedimientos e intereses poéticos a través de los cuales la autora da cuenta de la (im)potencia de las lagunas en el tiempo histórico y otras formas de desvío para perfilar una comprensión alternativa del tiempo como algo subjetivo, incompleto y formado por múltiples capas.
